At Mindful Testing, Dr. Fulgham has created a practice that is strongly committed to understanding the whole person and identifying strengths and weaknesses unique to each individual. Trained in a traditional, science-based model, she also firmly believes each child and adult must be understood within a global framework that includes biological, environmental, psychological, social and spiritual influences.
The word “mindful” is described as fully experiencing and appreciating the present moment. Mindful Testing has evolved in an effort to combat traditional ‘cookie-cutter’ assessments, which are often overly technical, full of jargon, and lacking in depth. At Mindful Testing, evaluations are conducted with a compassionate desire to fully understand each person’s experience so as to reflect and capture the entire person within.
Test batteries are comprehensive and thorough; only standardized, empirically-validated measures are used. Reports are written in user-friendly yet scientifically accurate language appropriate for professionals and lay-persons alike. Recommendations emphasize appropriate interventions and resources to maximize academic, social and personal development.
